FAQ
what if you can't make my birth?
Birth does not always follow a set plan. It can move quickly or change unexpectedly, and while I aim to be present for every booked birth, there are rare situations where this is not possible.
If I am unable to attend the birth, your booking fee can be moved over to a Fresh 48 session or a newborn photography session so your story is still documented in a meaningful way.
what does 'on call' mean?
“On call” means that from 38 weeks until your baby is born, I stay fully available and ready to be contacted at any time. My phone remains on loud and close by so I can respond quickly when labour begins.
During this period, I do not accept other bookings that would take me more than 2 hours away from your chosen birth location. I plan my schedule carefully so I can be available and able to leave at short notice.
My priority is to be ready to attend your birth as soon as you need me, so I can support and document your story from the moment things begin.
can i keep my photos private?
Yes. I deeply respect your privacy and nothing from your birth will ever be shared without your permission.
During our pre birth consultation, we go through your completed questionnaire together. This covers the types of images you feel comfortable with, what you would prefer to keep private and any boundaries you want in place.
Your comfort always comes first. You can update your preferences at any point, even after the birth, if you change your mind about what you are happy for me to share.
what if it doesn't go as planned?
Birth is unpredictable and every experience is different. I always work with respect for your space, your choices and the environment you are giving birth in.
Before your due date, we go through a detailed booking and preferences chat where we talk through as many possible scenarios as we can, so you feel prepared and comfortable with how I work on the day.
A few important points to know are:
